Nalazi novca sa viminacijumske nekropole Više grobalja i njihova uloga u pogrebnom ritualu

Abstract

Za približno pet vekova života na Viminacijumu formirano je više nekropola, one su prema položaju legijskog logora i civilnih naselja, podeljene na: severne, južne, istočne i zapadne nekropole. Zbog potreba izgradnje TE Kostolac 2, na području južnih nekropola se, počev od 1977. godine, obavljaju zaštitna arheološka istraživanja većeg obima. U okviru areala južnih nekropola izdvojeno ih je devet, od čega vremenu rimske dominacije pripada pet nekropola koje obuhvataju period od sredine I do prvih decenija V veka. Dve najstarije nekropole, „Pećine“ i „Više grobalja“ formirane su sredinom I veka i na njima je praktikovano istovremeno sahranjivanje kremiranih i inhumiranih pokojnika.

In the course of about five centuries of life at Viminacium, a number of necropolises were formed, which were divided, based on the position of the legionary camp and civilian settlement, into: northern, southern, eastern and western necropolises. Due to the required construction of the TPP Kostolac 2, since 1977, large-scale rescue archaeological investigations have been conducted in the area comprising the southern necropolises. Within this area, nine were recorded, five of which belong to the period of the Roman domination from the mid-1st to the first decades of the 5th century. The two oldest necropolises, Pećine and Više grobalja, were established in the mid-1st century, and cremation and inhumation burials were simultaneously practised at these sites.
