This article disscusses the emergence, distribution and local production of bronze spearand javelinheads with polygonal sockets. A casting mould for such spearheads was found during rescue excavations of a Thracian settlement in Southern Bulgaria. The analysis of similar artifacts shows that they represent a phenomenon characteristic for the LH III А2 – EIA period and produced in the area of the whole Balkan peninsula.sr
