The paper focuses on the results of recent archaeological research of the fortified
settlement Gradište-Knežje near the town of Sveti Nikole. Based on the remains of architecture
and the discovery of Ruler’s Palace, the author discusses different building phases and finds in
comparison to the existing ancient written records on Paeonians.
