Касноантички и рановизантијски случајни налази са локалитета Градац-Грбавче у околини Сврљига

Abstract

U radu su prikazani slučajni nalazi iz perioda IV–VI veka sa lokaliteta Gradac u selu Grbavče kod Svrljiga, gde se nalaze ostaci utvrđenja. Pored toga što nije arheološki istraživan, lokalitet je dobrim delom uništen, tako da predmeti o kojima je reč predstavljaju jedine raspoložive podatke. Ti nalazi su prethodno kataloški publikovani, a ovom prilikom se daje njihova detaljna analiza i razmatra istorijski kontekst. Autor pretpostavlja da je utvrđenje moglo biti izgrađeno već tokom kasne antike, a obnovljeno u sklopu velikih graditeljskih poduhvata u Iliriku za vladavine careva Anastasija I (491–518) i Justinijana I (527–565). Pojedini nalazi ukazuju na mogućnost da je položaj Gradca bio korišćen i tokom srednjeg veka.

On a rocky hill (609m) called Gradac, in the village of Grbavče near Svrljig, the remains of one of many fortifications built in the region of the central Balkans in the Late Antiquity and Early Byzantine period are located. Given that archaeological investigations have not been conducted, the only data available are the chance finds from the collection of the Homeland Museum in Svrljig which indicate that Gradac is a multilayered site. The most apparent are the finds from the Late Antique and Early Byzantine periods. The numismatic material comprises only a few coins, minted during the reigns of Emperor Philippus I (244–249), Anastasius I (491–518), Justin I (518–527) and Justinian I (527–565). Along with the coins, four fibulae are of particular importance to the chronological picture of the site.
